The theme of this year's Beijing Science and Technology Expo is "Technology Leads, Innovate for the Future," organized by the Beijing Municipal Government and co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, and the Beichen Group. Spanning 50,000 square meters, the exhibition gathers over 800 domestic and international enterprises and institutions, showcasing more than 1,200 cutting-edge technologies and scientific achievements in fields such as advanced technology, emerging industries, and future industries. Over 120 overseas companies from more than 30 countries and regions participated in the exhibition. More than 600 new tech products, including an AI waste incineration system and a multifunctional AI+ wall-climbing robot, made their debut. On-site, 43 projects were signed, with a total value exceeding 5.8 billion yuan, attracting over 80,000 visitors from both domestic and international audiences.

Focus on showcasing cutting-edge scientific and technological achievementsCutting-edge scientific and technological innovation products and cutting-edge technologies were on display at the expo, leading the development trend of the industry.The first is the concentrated presentation of significant scientific research breakthroughs. Models of rockets such as Zhuzhuo-2, Zhuzhuo-3, and Long March 8A, the "Yunxing" supersonic aircraft model expected to complete its maiden flight in 2026, and the domestic first 800Gbps next-generation firewall equipped with a domestically produced DPU chip developed by Sinewei, were all showcased at the Science and Technology Expo. Each of these "industry-first,"  "domestic-first," and "world-leading" innovations adds color to high-quality development, promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation.

Secondly, intelligent robots made a collective appearance. The world's first AI+ROBOT orthopedic surgery robot has reduced joint replacement surgery time from 2 hours to 30 minutes, significantly lowering medical costs; the multifunctional AI+ wall-climbing robot can walk on vertical walls at a 90-degree angle, greatly reducing the risks associated with high-altitude work; the industrial humanoid robot Walker S1, which works hard to "carry bricks," effortlessly moves items in the exhibition area, demonstrating its efficient operational capabilities.

The third point is the introduction of information technology achievements that have attracted attention. China's first thousand-bit optical quantum computer can increase drug screening efficiency by a thousand times; the MogoMind large model independently developed by Mushroom Car Network makes road conditions clear at a glance, enhancing overall traffic efficiency; Beijing Super Cloud Computing Center has been the top HPC computing power in China for five consecutive years, and its self-developed AI intelligent computing cloud MaaS platform provides more convenient, reliable, and cost-effective large model services, reducing user difficulty and improving user efficiency.

Fully demonstrate the platform agglomeration effectAs an important window to display the cutting-edge achievements of China's scientific and technological innovation and an important platform to promote international exchanges and cooperation in science and technology industry, this expo fully reflects the leading and exemplary role of Beijing in building an international science and technology innovation center.First, there is a broad aggregation of international scientific and technological resources. Companies from Singapore, the Czech Republic, and South Korea have brought technological products in fields such as large AI models, biopharmaceuticals, and intelligent manufacturing, hoping to find new cooperation opportunities at the Science and Technology Expo. World 500 companies like AstraZeneca, Sanofi, MTR Corporation, and Deloitte are showcasing their latest technologies and collaborative achievements.


Secondly, vividly showcasing Beijing's achievements in scientific and technological innovation. Over 400 of the latest results from the "Three Cities and One Area" and various sub-parks of Zhongguancun were exhibited at the Science and Technology Expo. Dongcheng District launched 21 new products and technologies, Fengtai District showcased nearly 70 "black tech" items including a laser low-frequency alternating magnetic field therapy machine, and Shunyi District featured 53 high-tech innovation achievements from 42 advanced tech companies.
Thirdly, actively expand cross-regional cooperation space. More than 20 provinces and regions, including Tianjin, Zhejiang, Hubei, and Guangdong, participated in the exhibition as a group. The hard-core off-road vehicle from Hubei Shiyan, which integrates military-grade quality with civilian use, attracted numerous fans at the Sci-Tech Expo. The natural weakly alkaline water "Wudang Water," with a pH of 7.6 from the Danjiangkou Reservoir, drew much attention. The "Six Little Dragons of Hangzhou" — Qiangnao Technology, Yushu Technology, and Qunhe Technology — brought a lineup of star products, including intelligent bionic hands and spatial intelligence platforms, to the exhibition. Lhasa set up its first independent pavilion at the Beijing Sci-Tech Expo, carefully selecting 30 companies and 130 representative exhibits to vividly showcase the latest achievements in promoting technological innovation and new productive forces through collaboration between Beijing and Lhasa.

Fourth, we will build an online and offline integrated platform. We will strengthen the function of online display and connection, upgrade the "online consultation system" of the Expo, and connect it with artificial intelligence models to provide more intelligent, accurate and rich services for exhibitors and participants.

We will promote international economic and trade exchanges and cooperation in a pragmatic mannerIn addition to exhibitions, the Expo also held more than 30 trade and investment promotion activities to build a platform for practical cooperation and exchange.First, the 2025 Beijing International Investment and Trade Fair will host a special Beijing-Saudi Arabia Advanced Manufacturing Fair, where more than 300 Chinese and foreign enterprises will exchange views on the spot, so as to promote projects from "visible" to "successful" and then to "implemented".
Secondly, in 2025, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Trade and Investment Promotion Synergy Series will host one high-level main event, five specialized exchange sessions, and multiple industrial inspection activities, forming a comprehensive platform for promoting coordinated development of trade and investment in the region. The "Three-Year Action Plan for Intellectual Property Synergy in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region" will be released, along with the launch ceremony of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Tourism Service Alliance, deepening regional cooperation and promoting resource sharing and industrial alignment.

Thirdly, the 2025 Beijing International Commercial Legal Activity Day released the "Annual Report on Beijing's Commercial Legal Services (2022-2024)" and the "Compliance Guidelines for Beijing Enterprises' International Operations (2025)," among other achievements. The first enterprise compliance training demonstration base in Beijing was inaugurated, and the Beijing Higher People's Court and the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a document on the litigation-mediation connection mechanism.
Fourth, we will organize a series of promotion events for "future industries", a promotion and exchange meeting for specialized, refined and innovative "Beijing products going overseas", and a promotion meeting for green economy, new quality technology and industrial cooperation, so as to promote technology sharing and market connection in new energy and intelligent manufacturing, help enterprises expand overseas markets and enhance their international competitiveness.


Light up technology to empower life scenariosThe expo is driven by two wheels: "technology breakthrough + scene implementation", which enables cutting-edge technology to move from the laboratory to thousands of households.First, science and technology improve the quality of life of the public. Smart pillows to protect sleep, anti-fraud digital intelligence people to strengthen the safety line of property, large-space VR movies to take audiences through the Tang Dynasty, and AI smart desks to innovate traditional education mode, these scientific and technological achievements are reshaping every aspect of life.

Second, science and technology facilitate people's daily life. Projects such as AI watering robots, smart patrol vehicles and autonomous driving buses on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway show the transformation of smart travel and green future from intelligent manufacturing to intelligent travel.


Thirdly, technology enhances patients' quality of life. Wearable smart artificial throats not only serve stroke and ALS patients but also help chronic pharyngitis patients improve their voice quality; the "24-hour video medical room" can complete a light physical examination in just a few minutes; brain-computer interface hand function rehabilitation training systems assist patients in regaining their lives, among other innovations. Technology is integrating into daily life with unprecedented depth and warmth, transforming our lives.

The Beijing Science and Technology Expo this year highlights the exchange and cooperation of science and technology industry, the promotion of international trade and investment, and the online display and consultation, helping to organically integrate the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain and talent chain, injecting strong momentum into the construction of Beijing as an international science and technology innovation center.
